The Principality’s two major arts partnerships demonstrate the business’ clear commitment to communities across Wales, as well as shared ideals and aspirations. Its over-arching aim is to create a balanced and sustainable portfolio of sponsorships designed to deliver long term brand enhancing benefits.

The building society’s support of Only Boys Aloud since 2010 has been crucial to the survival and success of the choir. It effectively engages a younger generation with the Principality as well as inspiring and motivating the teenagers and their families. Almost 200 boys now take part and numbers are increasing with the establishment of two new groups in Cardiff and Swansea. The Principality has recently committed to continue its investment in Only Boys Aloud for a second 3 year period.

In 2014, the building society celebrates 35 years as a major sponsor of the National Eisteddfod – another partnership which illustrates a shared pride in Wales’ culture and heritage. Sponsoring the annual National Eisteddfod is a perfect brand fit for the Principality as it has an impact on both a national and local level.

The judges were unanimous in naming the Principality Business of the Year for its impressive, focussed approach to partnerships and its commitment to their sustainability.

Legal & General for its partnerships with Chapter, The Riverfront, UCAN Productions and Wales Millennium Centre which have a direct and lasting impact on so many people and  communities.

Sony UK Technology Centre for its support of It’s My Shout which plays a tangible role in the development of young people’s skills and aspirations.
