Vacancy: Development Assistant (Contract)

(Fixed Term for 18 months)

Welsh National Opera is looking to appoint a Development Assistant to provide administrative support to the Development & Communications Department, which is responsible for delivering philanthropic income to support the Company’s long-term financial sustainability.

The role will be extremely varied and provides the ideal starting point for a career in arts fundraising. You will preferably have an interest in the arts and some experience of working or volunteering in a similar environment.

You must have excellent communication skills and a good level of general education – GCSE level Maths and English (Grade C or above. Good computer literacy – Microsoft Word, Excel, Outlook and databases and the ability to be flexible and adaptable with a calm and practical approach to problem solving is essential for this role.
